Kirby Stone Company, LLC is proud to partner with Acme Brick Company to supply the natural stone product and participate in the construction of the Idea Home constructed by Sandlin Custom Homes at the main entrance to the Great Big Texas Home Show. The Idea Home will be the main attraction of the home show.
The natural stone featured on the Idea Home is Chocolate Blend Flagstone, a natural sandstone product supplied from Kirby Stone Company, LLC’s quarry in Lometa, Texas and distributed by Acme Brick Company. Chocolate Blend sandstone is a unique blend of tans, mochas and dark browns, creating a rich variety of earthy color. As natural sandstone blends go, Chocolate Blend stays within, yet runs the gamut, of tan and brown, and when blended together, the natural stone colors create a bold, unique aesthetic. Coupled with the right brick selection, or other design aspects such as window color, stucco finish, or roof design, Chocolate Blend natural sandstone will make this Idea Home stand out. The flagstone design featured on this Idea Home will be applied on a typical brick ledge with a stone depth of 3”-5”, and as the term flagstone indicates, the shape of the stone will have a random, asymmetrical pattern, similar to peanut brittle.
